Before you reach out
Here are a few of the questions we get most often. If your question is not here, please send us a note using the form above. We would rather answer too many questions than too few.
How do I plan a first visit?
You do not need to do anything special. Join us for Sunday Bible class at 9:30 AM or our Worship Service at 10:45 AM, park in the lot, and our team will welcome you. If you want a heads-up greeting at the door, you can fill out our short guest form from the Visit page and we will look for you.
Can I submit a prayer request privately?
Yes. Our prayer team treats every request with discretion. You can reach out through our contact form and mark the subject "Prayer," and we will route it appropriately. Nothing you share is posted publicly unless you explicitly ask us to share it with the wider congregation.
What are your service times?
We gather for Sunday Bible class at 9:30 AM and Worship Service at 10:45 AM. We also hold a Wednesday Prayer meeting at 3:00 PM. All are welcome to attend any of these times. Our location is in Shasta Lake, California.
Can I meet with a pastor?
Absolutely. Our Lead Pastor Thomas Sikes is available for pastoral conversations by appointment. Fill out the form and choose "Talk with a pastor," share a short note about what you would like to discuss, and our office will get a time on the calendar for you.
What about kids and student ministry questions?
Our Kids and Student ministry leaders are the best people to answer specific questions about safety, programming, and schedules. Choose "Kids or student ministry" from the form dropdown and your note will go directly to the right person on our team.
How do I give to the church?
You can give online through our giving page, drop a check in the box at the back of the sanctuary on Sundays, or mail a check to the church office. First Baptist Church Shasta Lake is a 501(c)(3) and every gift is tax-deductible. Year-end giving statements go out each January.
